Five people were arrested as members of a criminal network active in the possession, supply and trafficking of weapons and explosives. Following an investigation by the Anti-Trafficking and Trafficking Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate, a raid was conducted in the area of western Attica where officers discovered and seized a large number of weapons and explosives.
Simultaneous searches were carried out in three houses and two underground spaces in Western Attica, where 5 people were arrested during the operation on Monday.
A case file was filed against them for the offenses of possessing and manufacturing explosives, the laws concerning explosives, flares, drugs as well as antiquities and cultural heritage legislation.
From the searches carried out on persons, houses and vehicles, the following items were found and confiscated:
25 pieces of military explosives,
60 kg of ammonium dynamite,
4 pieces of explosive,
7 coils of flame retardant rope,
2 detonators,
5,925 cartridges of various calibers mainly for military use,
2 weapons,
1 automatic weapon,
6 revolvers,
5 pistols,
1 double barrel,
1 single barrel carbine,
38 magazines of various calibers,
3 gun silencers,
crossbow, with 21 arrows,
bulletproof vest,
fixed base wireless,
handcuffs,
sword and three 3 knives,
air rifle and air revolver
large number of weapon parts
530 tablets drug tablets,
metal detectors,
3 metal detectors,
banknote counter
57 gold coins,
510 British pounds, worth about 420,000 euros,
2 British pounds,

5 silver faithful copies of ancient Greek coins

special machine for engraving (laser) characteristics on hard objects used for engraving brands and serial numbers of weapons, accompanied by computer, GPS TRACKER and handwritten notes.
Those arrested will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
Authorities believe it is a spiral that traded weapons and supplied weapons and explosives to people of the night or criminals. However, according to the estimates of police officers, it seems that there is a connection between criminals and terrorists.
