Due to a breakdown in its left main engines, high-speed passenger ferry “Super Express” was ordered on Monday to remain in the port of Paros.
The ferry was operating a scheduled route from the port of Rafina in eastern Attica to the islands of Tinos, Mykonos, Paros, Ios and Santorini, carrying a total of 580 passengers.
After its immobilization in Paros, 155 passengers on board disembarked on the island, while the remaining 425 passengers were transferred to their final destinations in another ship.
The port authorities have issued a departure ban for the “Super Express” until the damage is fully repaired and its engines are in full working order.
