Four Chinese nationals were arrested for photographing the Air Force base in Tanagra, north Attica, on Wednesday.
They are a 47-year-old couple, their 15-year-old son, and a 53-year-old friend.
The Chinese were spotted by the Air Force photographing the facilities and aircraft of the base; they were detained and the police were called.
he foreigners were brought to the Tanagra police station, where it was found that they had photographed the warplanes with their mobile phones. They were arrested, and a case was filed against them for espionage.
The four claimed that they werein Greece for tourism purposes.
The National Intelligence Service (EYP) was also briefed on the issue.
They were expected to be brought to prosecutor on Thursday.
