The video was uploaded to social media with the caption: “The police car is not a taxi” This was a phrase a police officer had told femicide victim Kyriaki Griva when she was in imminent danger by her violent former partner who ultimately killed her outside a police station.
Citing police sources, media reported that there was only one police officer in the patrol car. The investigation is to determine who he is and why he committed this act.

An act of desperation and no mystery why he did it! In Athens it costs at least 75 euros for someone to pick up and deliver it, which is a big chunk out of his too small monthly salary. No refrigerator is a household emergency, especially if he has a family.
Most Greeks are on low to very low wages. So what. Find another solution. A friend or acquaintance with a flat bed truck – there are many in the trade and agricultural sector. The Police can’t expect citizens to abide by the traffic laws if they themselves do not. They have to be held a higher standard since they enforce the law. If this was a citizen the excuse of a low wage wouldn’t stop the Police from fining them.
