A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Ioannina, north-western Greece, for having given cocaine to his 14-year-old son. Together with the father, also a 18-year-old friend of his was arrested as well.
The incident reportedly took place on New Year’s Eve, when the father, the son and the friend took a ride with his car. At some point, the father made use of cocaine and he also offered his minor son the drug.
According to media, the father told his son that he will feel better with his cold after the use of cocaine.
When the boy returned home, he fell unwell and told his mother what had happen.
According to a police statement, officers were alerted earlier Thursday after the mother reported that her son had been taken to hospital after feeling unwell. Doctors determined that the minor had used cocaine.
Police arrested the man on Thursday night.
The father has been charged for endangering a minor and violating drug laws.
A case file has been also opened for the friend who was present in the car during the incident.
