“Melania” the film was premiered on Sunday afternoon in Greek capital Athens. However, the documentary about the First Lady of the U.S. was not screened in a common movie theater but at Kentro Athinon, a known entertainment facility that was booked for a private event and for selected guests only.
The guests list reportedly included two government ministers, diplomats, representatives of the business world and TV personas.
The event was hosted by the US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, businessman Eric Vassilatos and singer Konstantinos Argyros, both with their wives.
Speaking to the crowd before the screening, Guilfoyle announced that US President Donald Trump plans to visit Greece, huffingronpos.gr reported. However, she did not revealed for when this visit is scheduled.
“I really can’t wait for the Trump couple to come to Greece. It will be an incredible honor for the country,” said Guilfoyle.
She stated further, that Melania Trump is her friend, that their sons hang out and described her as an “incredible mother” and “a great wife.”
“It is such an incredible honor, the amazing First Lady, I believe the most transformative First Lady we have had in the United States of America. Melania Trump is a dear friend of mine, an incredible mother, a great wife and a truly brilliant First Lady. She has done incredible things for children, for women. She is very dedicated to our country and I wanted to be able to showcase tonight what she has achieved, and the admiration, love and affection that she enjoys from our country is truly something we have never seen before.”
Some websites kept the dithyrambic enthusiasm of the US Ambassador and wrote: “the documentary Melania made its official premiere in Greece, captivating the crowds. The Athens Center hosted personalities from the business, social and diplomatic worlds, confirming that the screening went beyond the boundaries of a simple cinematic event.”
PS And they all lived happily ever after…
It remains a secret whether the documentary “Melania” will ever reach a Greek movie theater.
