Rainfalls, local storms and strong north winds added to the winter scenery that resembled more November than the last month of spring.

Mostly affected were – and still are today, Saturday, May 2 – Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus and the North Aegean, with the cold weather front to have expanded further south in Thessaly, Sporades, Central Greece and Northern Evia.

Northerly winds are blowing with intensity 6-7 Beaufort (wind gusts up to 80-90 km/h). The strengthened northerly winds will persist on the weekend May 2-3 while their intensity increase to 7-8 Beaufort.

Meteorologists forecast temperatures to rise by Monday, May 4, and some claim that could reach even 30 degrees Celsius in some parts of the country.
