At least two men were killed and one was seriously injured during a shooting at the offices of extreme-right Golden Dawn in Neo Irakleio suburb of Athens on Friday evening. According to Greek media, the shots were fired by two people from a motorbike.
One of the victims was immediately dead, the other died while in the hospital. Health Minister Andonis Georgiadis told private Mega TV, that both victims had fatal injuries in the chest and the head. The dead were 22 and 26 years old.
The seriously injured man is 29 years old.
According to eye witnesses it was a cold-blooded attack.
Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kassidiaris said that the two dead were members of GD.
The counter-terrorism department of Police is investigating the killing.
The shooting comes one and a half month after the killing of leftist rapper Pavlos Fyssas by a member of Golden Dawn.
Greek media speak of “a political motivated attack” in the logic of “political revenge.”
However the Health minister suggested that all aspects should be considered.
All political parties have condemned the attack.
Government Spokesman Simos Kedikoglou: “The killers will deal ruthlessly than democracy, justice and united the Greek society. Let us know everything. “Democracy, justice and the Greek society united will deal with the kiilers. Everybody should now that.”
Minister for Public Order Nikos Dendias “We will not allow this country to be field of settling scores for whatever reasons.”
According to Athens News Agency: The shots were fired from a 9mm gun and from a close range. Police collected 15 cartridges. The attackers were wearing helmets.
The attackers were riding on a black motorcycle, eye-witnesses said they saw the last two digits from the license plates.
The attack occured at 7:20 p.m.

Golden Dawn blamed the minister of public order for not providing the Neo Irakleio office with security, as it was requested.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. In case there was indeed a terrorist attack.
“The attack took place in a vivid street of Neo Irakleio, there are many eye-witnesses but also material from security cameras from the Golden Dawn office and nearby shops that police can evaluate,” Greek media report.
The victims were standing at the entrance of Golden Dawn office.
Commentarors speak on “an ttempt to destabilize the country” a view shared by main opposition left-wing SYRIZA and nationalists Independent Greeks. “Some get ready to lead the country to civil war,” said leader of IndGreeks, Panos Kammenos.
