OK, we got this! It is now confirmed and in pictures: Frontex policemen are “authorized” to make arrests, while they are deployed in Greece. Are they really?

Freelance journalist Panagiotis Gavrilis shot some pictures on the island of Lesvos as Dutch policemen control refugees/migrants – it is not clear – and then put them in a van “jail”.
Dutch policemen deployed there in the Frontex framework arrested some migrants as they were allegedly trying to leave the island for the mainland.

According to local media, LesvsosNews.net, the Dutch policemen or any other policemen deployed by foreign countries, “have no authority to wander around the streets of the island and to arrest people,” no matter what an agreement they call in.

LesvosNews notes that the small car belongs to Greek Coast Guard and wonders whether it was a joint operation.
Panajotis Gavrilis tweeted
@panajotakiYes there was a Greek Officer handling the people to his Dutch colleagues
What I see also is the the second white van has neither a sign or mark, exactly like in old-style Latin-America dictatorships.
PS next we will see Frontex men distributing trafic fine tickets, no?
