“Indignant” Greeks to Protest Poll Taxes, Sept 25/11

“Indignant” Greeks are calling for a protest against poll taxes in front of the Parliament at Syntagma Square, on Sunday, September 25th 2011. At 6 pm. After the violent suppression of the protests on last June and July, the masses of Greeks refrain from joining the protests in front of the Parliament. You will hardly see more than 1,000 people handing out leaflets and chanting slogans. The majority of Greeks prefer to stay away form the “Square”, although every second week a new poll tax falls on their heads. Why is that? I have no idea, but I’ll check around and let you know in the following days…
