A 13-year-old girl died from what it looks carbonmonoxide poisoning from the fumes of a make-shift stove. The girl from Serbia was living together with her mother in an apartment without electricity in Xirokrini by Thessaloniki in Northern Greece.
According to Greek media, the mother and the daughter had used the brazier to warm up on Sunday night. They fainted due to the deadly fumes. When the mother, recovered she reportedly found her girl without life.
The woman was unemployed and had only temporary jobs from time to time. Local media report, that the apartment had not power since 2-3 months.
The police has reportedly arrested the mother as she was illegally in Greece and has no valid documents.
