Thessaloniki: “Samaras, Venizelos” hand out money to protesters

Two citizens found an original way to protest the upcoming privatization of the Water Company in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece. Wearing masks of prime minister Antonis Samaras and deputy prime minister Evangelos Venizelos they started to distribute fake euro bank notes.

With main slogan “Save the Water” several people gathered outside the headquarters of Thessaloniki Water Company (EYATH) on Friday morning in order to protest the upcoming privatization.

PS Much to my knowledge, according to recent EU guidelines “water companies cannot be privatized “. But Greece government needs money, right?
