Giorgos Petrakakos, an alleged accomplice of self-processed leader of guerrilla group Revolutionary Struggle Nikos Maziotis, was arrested by officers of Greece’s counter-terrorist squad in Volos, central Greece, on Thursday. A second suspect was also detained in the operation which reportedly took place in the city center.
Authorities have also linked Petrakakos to a bank robbery in Distomo, Viotia, last year.
According to reports by the Athens-Macedonian New Agency, counter-terrorist officers were conducting several operations in Volos on Thursday.
