Protesters hurled rocks and burned flags of Israel and the US in a march rally against the killings of more than 60 Palestinians in Gaza and the move of US Embassy to Jerusalem. The protest rally was organized by leftist political parties, Popular Unity and Antarsya, groups in “solidarity with the Palestinian people,” as wells as Palestinian organizations.

Police buses were deployed and parked outside the Israeli and the US Embassy in downtown Athens.
However, the strong police presence did not hinder protesters from climbing on the police buses. holding Palestinian flags and chanting slogans, with the most dominant one being “Freedom for Palestine.”
Some one thousand protesters gathered outside Megaron Mousikis on Tuesday afternoon, and marched first to the US Embassy and then to the Embassy of Israel.
At some point, the angry crowd hurled rocks and even flares at the Israeli Embassy as well as at the riot police and the police buses.
