Government spokesman Dimitris Tsanakopoulos announced the mini government reshuffle Friday noon. The reshuffle was expected after SYRIZA managed to pass its proposal for the Constitutional revision.
New ministers in important posts:
Foreign Ministry: Giorgos Katrougalos – he replaces PM Alexis Tsipras who took over the office after Kotzias’ resignation last autumn. The PM had said there is no need to keep the FM post after the Prespes Agreement came into force.
Alternate Foreign Minister for European Policy: Sia Anagnostopoulou – she replaces Katrougalos
Migration Ministry: Aggelos Tolkas – he replaces Dimitris Vitsas
New deputy or alternate ministers have been appointed at the ministries of Macedonia-Thrace, Infrastructure & Transport, Labo.
The new ministers will take oath on Monday.
The new cabinet will take Greece to parliament elections, whenever these take place: either in October or in May.
