Multinational military exercise INIOHOS 2019 started on Monday in Andravida, Peloponnese. Iniohos is an annual middle-scale exercise, one of the larger to take place in the central Mediterranean.
The exercise involves most of the Hellenic Air Forces jets fleet and a number of aircraft from US, Cyprus, Italy, Israel and United Emirates.
The following aircraft are reportedly participating:
HAF: F-4E x 6, F-16C/D x 32, M2000 x 6
ItAF: Tornado ECR/IDS x 6
IAF: F-16C/D/I x 12
USAF: F-16C/D x 12
UAEAF: M2000-9 x 6
as well as AAR Tankers
The exercise starts on April 1st and last over the period of two weeks.
Iniohos ia based on the facilities of the AIR TACTICS CENTER at the Andravida Air Base, located in the Northwest Peloponnese, Greece.
