Thousands of Greek school students flooded downtown Athens on Friday to demonstrate for World Climate Change Action Day and the Global Climate Strike on September 20, 2019.
Holding placards reading among others “The Earth is dying, All United,” and “We want Change now” they joined the international school students’ mobilization with leading figure the 16-year-old Swdish activist Greta Thunberg.
Other placards were reading “Denial is not policy” and “I see plastic in the sea”.

Students from secondary education schools in Athens gathered at Syntagma Square at 12 o’ clock noon and marched to Monastiraki.
Greece is participating in World Climate Change Action Day and the Global Climate Strike with two demonstrations scheduled for Friday.
A second demonstration organized by the Initiative Against the Environment Catastrophe and the Climate Change” is scheduled for early Friday evening.
