77 new confirmed cases and two more deaths have been recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours, health authorities announced on Teusday. the number of total infections are 1,823 and of deaths 81.
501 infections are related to travel abroad and 679 related to contacts to confirmed cases.
90 patients with an average age of 66 years are intubated in Intensive Care Units. More than half of them have underlying health issues.
A total of 28,584 tests for Covid-19 have been conducted nationwide since the virus outbreak.
Also since the beginning of the outbreak, a total of 23,356 Greek nationals have been required by authorities to go on a 14-day strict quarantine at home.
6,645 still currently completing quarantine at home after returning to Greece form abroad, authorities said. Another 1,059 people are in house isolation after close contact to confirmed cases.
head of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias reminded that the lockdown restrictions have been extended to April 25. He warned that it is too early to foresee when the measures will start to be relaxing.
