Justice authorities intervened in the tragedy with four dead people and extensive damages through floods in Karditsa, Central Greece. Authorities will investigate possible malfunctions and omissions by the competent services in charge of prevention and reduction of the consequences of bad weather.
According to local media, the head of the Karditsa Prosecutor’s Office, Konstantinos Petsas, ordered an urgent preliminary examination, that will be carried out the Deputy Prosecutor of the Karditsa Court of First Instance, Ekaterini Lyra.
The focus will be on any malfunctions and omissions of services and officials in charge to prevent and reduce the consequences of the extreme natural phenomenon that hit Greece last weekend.
