A 102-year-old woman won the battle against the coronavirus. She was discharged from the general hospital on the island of Corfu on Saturday after hospitalization that lasted 20 days.
The woman was one of the 56 elderly infected with Covid-19 in a nursing home in Ioannina, Epirus, beginning of the month. Fvie of them were trasnferred from Ioannina to the hospital on Corfu and were treated in the Covid-19 clinic.
The centenarian “had high fever for several days as well as other symptoms of the disease, however, she did not need intubation,” the general manager of Corfu hospial Leonidas Roubatis told state-run news agency amna.
Along with the 102-year-old, another resident of the nursing home, a 74-year-old, was discharged from the hospital.
“We are proud for everyone who is discharged and wins the battle against the coronavirus,” Roubatis said among others.
