Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday evening 2,155 new coronavirus cases and the death of 66 more patients who died of complications of Covid-19. The number of intubated patients stands at 802.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 345,033 infections (daily change: +0.6%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 51 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,109 to other confirmed cases.
There are also 66 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 10,381. Of these, 95.5% had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.
A total of 802 -from 817 a day earlier – patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 68 years. 62.8% are men. 84.5% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or more.
2,121 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
419 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -13.68%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 458.
The median age of new infections is 44 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).

Of the 2155 new cases, 9 were detected at the entrance gates of the country and 2 was among travelers already in the country.
