Civil Protection lifts lockdown restrictions for the island of Kalymnos

The Greek Civil Protection said on Saturday that the special restrictions status for the island of Kalymnos will be lifted at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021.

The special restrictions were imposed on May 5 due to an outbreak on the island in the eastern Aegean Sea, the second this year.

The Civil Protection issued also a chart showing the course of the pandemic on Kalymnos during May 1-21  and the decrease of the daily infections.

Head of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias urged the residents to be twice careful and avoid gatherings that could again cause problems.

He appealed to Kalymnians to “protect the tourism season that begins, the local economy and especially their health and the fellow human beings.”
