A total of 4,500 travelers were not allowed to board ferries last week as they did not have the necessary Covid-documents, Greece’s Shipping Minister said on Friday.
“The checks by the Coast Guard officers are complete and are carried out fast and with efficiency. Last week, unfortunately, 4,500 individuals were not allowed to board on ferries as they did not have the necessary documents,” Minister Yiannis Plakiotakis said during a visit at the port of Piraeus.
“The efforts for safe trips with ferries continues and will continue,” he stressed.
He urged travelers to observe the safety measures against the pandemic.
