Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday 1,765 new coronavirus cases and 47 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospital Intensive Care Units very slightly decreased to 379.
Due to weekend, the number of tests are several thousands fewer than on normal weekdays.
Αt the Live Briefing on Monday regarding vaccination against Covid-19, health authorities announced that the online platform for the 3rd vaccination dose for immune-compromised groups will open on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, so that people can make their appointments.
The platform for other groups will open at a later point. Under considerations is the 3rd vaccine dose for all over 60 years old.
Health officials appealed for the vaccination of pregnant women and children due to the Delta variant.

There are 47 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, the total of pandemic victims to 13,933. Of these, 95.4% had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.

A total of 379 Covid-patients – from 381 a day earlier – are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 64 years. 61.5% are men. 82.1% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or more.
According to EODY among the intubated patients:
343 (90.5%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated
36 (9.5%) are fully vaccinated

3,007 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
184 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -31.85%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 234.
