Greece’s Civil Protection imposed a mini lockdown to the regional units of Kavala, Imathia, Pieria and Pella in northern Greece with the aim to contain the spread of the coronavirus. At the same time, they extended the restrictions in the regional units of Evrytania in Epirus and Argolida in eastern Peloponnese, and lifted restrictritions in five other regions.
Restrictions in the four regions in northern Greece are in effect from 6:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, until Friday 6:00 a.m. September 24, 2021.
The mini lockdown measures are:
- Night curfew from 01:00 a.m. until 06:00 a.m. with the exception for work or health reasons
- Music ban in bars, restaurants, beach bars, entertainment parks and other venues.
Restrictions for Evrytania and Argolida are extended until Sept 24, 2021.
The Civil Protection placed the regional units of Achaia, Ilia, Messinia, Heraklio and the municipality of Ikaria at Level 3 (orange) and therefore it lifted the local restriction measures.
