Greece opens platform for booster shot for all above 18 years old

The platform to book appointment for the booster shot of vaccination against Covid-19 will open for all citizens above 18 years old on Friday,November  5, 2021.

Citizens can receive the booster shot six months after the have completed the initial vaccination.

The platform opens a day before new restrictions go into effect and oblige unvaccinated citizens to show a negative RAPID or PCR test before they go to work, access a bank or a public service, do non-essential shopping, have a coffee or a dine out.

Greece has seen an unprecedented increase of daily coronavirus infections since last Saturday, while the vaccination rate of the general population remains relative low at hardly over 60% and Covid-patients are being intubated outside Intensive Care Units and without proper medical surveillance especially in northern Greece.

  1. I was able to book online for a booster on 29/10 & was given an appointment for 2/11. Unfortunately when I arrived at the clinic they told me the vaccines have not been sent out yet & I have to wait approx. 2 weeks.
