Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday, 26,536 coronavirus cases and 51 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients has decreased to 358.
Greece has seen an increase of daily coronavirus infections in the last couple of days and health experts attribute it to protection measures relaxation and the prevelance of Omicron 2 mutation.
Some also not that the increase come after the last Carnival weekend and the Clean Monday, n March 7.
Note that the manadotyr use of masks outdoors was lifted on that weekend.

So in 1 (one) day (Tuesday) the Positivity PCR+RAPID: dropped to 5.93% , from 21.21% (Monday)?
I am not a mathematician but the probability of this is perhaps negligible ? I therefore question the veracity of these figures!
higher positivity when fewer tests. logic.
Thanks KTG, i maybe am having a touch of brain fog! I still do not understand; I understand the figures are daily reported.
March 14, 107,000 tests, 22,694 cases
March 15, 447,000 tests, 26,536 cases
Still confused, but as mentioned i am no mathematician. There isn’t a trend here but more like a cliff edge. With a >third of a million more tests on March 15 I would have expected different figures.
Of course. All people that are not jabbed and that are in contact with customers need to be tested twice a weak I think (hotels, bars, restaurants, shops, …). So it’s normal that on Mondays there are much more tests than on Sundays. And as all those people are healthy, there are probably not so much (false :-)) positive results, leading to a much lower positivity rate.
