Former finance minister and ex PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos has been admitted to a hospital in Athens on Thursday after he was tested positive with Covid-19.
Initially he underwent precautionary tests and examinations at Sotiria Hospital on Thursday morning following doctors’ advice.
However, later, doctors reportedly decided he would be admitted due to some risk factors.
He has currently mild symptoms and is hospitalized in a normal Covid-ward.
According to media information, the medical team of the hospital estimated that he has to be hospitalized for a few days to prevent deterioration of his health condition.
65-year-old Venizelos has all four doses of vaccines against Covid-19, media report.
UPDATE: At the end of the day, Venizelos was discharged from the hospital after he underwent several tests.
