The NTG’s Drama School Association of Teachers protested the decree, which equates the diplomas of drama schools with high school diplomas.
In a press conference on January 24, National Theater teachers had warned they would resign if the government failed to amend the decree by February 8.
Protesting students have occupied the Ziller Building premises of the National Theater in downtown Athens since February 5 over the same issue and held a huge protest on Wednesday, too.
More on the protests here.
Actors, stand-up comedians, theater workers and other performance artists held strikes last week to protest the legislation.
