Greece’s National Meteorological Service, EMY, issued an emergency weather bulletin on Saturday, warning of rainfalls, thunderstorms and hail.
The bad weather front is forecast for Sunday and Monday, June 11-12, 2023.
According to the emergency bulletin, the bad weather will also affect areas of Attica.
EMY Warning
The weather is forecast to worsen on Sunday (11-06-2023) and Monday (12-06-2023) with the intensity of instability phenomena in the midday and afternoon hours in the continental areas, where heavy rains and storms will occur, which they will be accompanied in places by a high frequency of lightning and hail.
The areas that will be affected are:
Macedonia (including Thessaloniki), Epirus, Thessaly, Central Greece (including Attica), Evia as well as the central and northeastern Peloponnese.
In Attica, it is expected that the west and north of the prefecture will be affected, as well as the city of Athens.
