With a post on social media, Greece’s Prime Minister kyriakos Mitsotakis wished King Charles III “a swift and complete recovery,” just hour after the Buckingham Palace announced that the 75-year-old King has been diagnosed with cancer.
“Wishing His Majesty King Charles III a swift and complete recovery. He is a true friend of Greece, and during these times our thoughts are with his family and the people of the United Kingdom,” the PM wrote.

King Charles III, who has ties to Greece through his late father, Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has been visiting the country oft in the past.
