Kasselakis reports of miracle during his baptism: “A Cross was formed from the oil”

Leader of Greece’ main opposition party, left-wing SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis. stunned the clergy in the Archdiocese of America, when he claimed that ” a cross was formed from the oil in the font waters when he was baptized”

According to news website hellasjournal.gr, Kasselakis told Archbishop of America Elpidophoros and the other clergy:

“I was baptized by Agios Tsalikis and father Kyrillos, and a cross was formed from the oil in the water. Agios Tsalikis told my parents: he will either become a priest or an important person.”

Even though Kasselakis had no video give evidence for the miracle, the above conversation was conveyed to hellasjournal  with Archbishop Elphidophoros reportedly listening to Kasselakis “ecstatically.”

The cheerful revelation and the prophesy stunned not only the Greek Orthodox clergy in the USA but also the Greek social media users who started to report of their own divine experiences during their Christening.

The majority of infant memories can be summarized into hysterically crying babies, struggling to catch a breath, seeking stability into the priest’s beard and/or eyeglasses as the custom is not a pleasant one with or without a miracle, while the holy grace has no mercy with the poor babies.

Anyway, the Archbishop  posted on social media later that Kasselakis “respects and appreciates the role of the Church.”

“I was happy to welcome to our Archdiocese the leader of the official Opposition Stefanos Kasselakis, a child of our Diaspora, who respects and appreciates the role of our Church. I wished him good success in his efforts for the progress of our beloved Greece,” Elpidophoros wrote.

At the heart of the meeting between Kasselakis and Elpidophoros took place in an extremely positive atmosphere, were the national issues, issues of strengthening the cooperation of the diaspora community and the Greek state, as well as issues of ecclesiastical interest.

The leader of SYRIZA has traveled to the USA ahead of the European elections where recent legislation in Greece allows the postal vote thus creating a voters pool in the Greek-American community.

Furthermore, he met with members of the community, investors, US parliamentarians and State Department officials.

PS I can’t resist the temptation that Kasselakis’ rhetoric and performance reminds me more and more the one of US-made alt-right tele-evangelists. Ops1 I’ve said this before. Apologies.

  1. next he will recall that time that he walked on water, right? he’s so full of himself and hot air that he might just float, too!

    • I cried my eyes out when my children were baptised. It wasn’t something that I wanted to happen but out of respect I followed the tradition!

      • right, this guy is using the kid as some kind of publicity stunt, which is thoroughly disrespectful and rather crass and disgusting.

  2. The video of that “baptizing” is just too bizarre for words. How is that not child molestation? Religion, any religion, is just messed up.
Regarding Kasselakis, that’s just megalomania. Any sitting or aspiring politician should be tested for these and other psychological ailments. But it almost seems like they are a prerequisite to get into politics.
