The Central Port Authority of Volos announced on Monday the lifting of the swimming ban at beaches in the broader Volos area.
Swimming is now permitted at all beaches from Agria to Agios Georgios of Kynigos.
The swimming ban was imposed in the area on September 2, following concerns about the millions of dead fish in the Pagasetic Gulf and potential water contamination.
The decision to lift the ban came after laboratory results confirmed that the waters in the Pagasetic Gulf are clean and clear.
