Ferries with destination the Cyclades islands are docked at the ports of Piraeus and Rafina on Tuesday, due to gale-force winds blowing with intensity of up to 9 Beaufort.
Greece’s authorities imposed a sailing ban to Cyclades islands from ports of Piraeus and Rafina in Attica due to the gale-force winds that are expected to hit the country in the coming hours.
According to the weather forecast, gale-force winds will blow with intensity 8 Beaufort and locally also 9 B in the region of the Aegean Sea.
The sailing ban causes cancellations and modifications to ship itineraries for today, Tuesday, and tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18 and 19, 2025.
Passengers who had planned to travel by sea are urged to be informed in advance about the changes, either through the companies’ official websites or by contacting local port authorities and travel agencies.
