Lefteris Petrounias, Greece’s greatest gymnast of all time, won his eighth gold medal at the European Gymnastics Championships in Leipzig on Saturday.
The Greek “Lord of the Rings” tied for first place with Turkey’s Adem Asil, both scoring 14.400 points.
“8th time European Champion! I don’t know how to describe my feelings! A podium full of beautiful messages!,” Petrounias posted on x.

Petrounias has won three Olympic medals, including gold at Rio 2016, three world titles, and a record eight European titles.
