Why should a pedestrian undergo an alcohol test? For the sake of the …experience apparently. In this sense obviously, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis walked to a police check point in downtown Athens last week and asked to have an alcohol test.
He did so, in front of the (stunned) police officers, the Minister for Citizen Protection and his personal guard, who were accompanying him.

“The PM wanted to know how the procedure is,” media reported about the weird move for which Mitsotakis’ communication advisors thought it was a good PR and gave the picture to the press.
On their part, the usual mean Greeks, commented on social media that PM Mitsotakis visited the wrong block: he should have visited the blocks of protesting farmers instead.
Surprise! Nobody asked for the test result, though.

Should he not at the very least be charged with wasting police time. While he was pulling this publicity stunt the police were not checking drunk drivers. And if it wad a stunt the costt of the test should come from his PR budget and not be paid by taxpayers
