“Challenge” between primary school pupils sends one to hospital

A dangerous “challenge” agreed between two primary school pupils sent one to hospital after he swallowed an antipsychotic drug.

According to local media, the two 9-year-old pupils agreed to a “challenge” where they should swallow medication.

One child administered antipsychotic medication to the other that soon fell sick and was rushed to the Agrinio hospital, where he is still hospitalized. His life is not in danger, media reported.

The mother of the 9-year-old who administered the drug to his classmate has been arrested and faces charges of “neglecting the supervision of a minor.”

The shocking incident took place at a primary school in Agrinio, western Greece, on Tuesday morning.
