An Amber Alert has been issued by Greek authorities and the children’s charity “The Smile of the Child,” for 16-year-old German national Laura L. who has been living with her family in Patras, Peloponnese, in the last couple of years.
Laura L. went missing at 07:30 in the morning on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
She disappeared from her home in the Rio area of Patras.
Laura L. is 1.60 m tall, weighs 50 kg, has blond-red hair and blue eyes.
On the day she went missing, she was wearing a blue jacket, black jeans, black adidas sneakers with white stripes and was carrying a gray school bag.
“The Smile of the Child” published the Amber Alert at the request of the teenager’s family, as there may be reasons that put her life in danger.

In a report on Sunday, January 11, Alpha TV said that the girl had taken her passport with her.
Citing an eyewitness who also spoke in Alpha main news, the girl was last seen together with an elderly man aged 60-65 years old with white hair and another girl also in more or less in the same age as Laura L.
The eyewitness has reportedly taken footage and complained although he had informed the police officers contacted him asking for the footage not earlier than Sunday morning.
