Greece’s Civil Protection has declared “Red Code” State of Alert for two regional units in Peloponnese due to high possibility of flooding in the next two days.
“Red Code” has been declared in the regional units of Achaia and Ilia in the Peloponnese from Wednesday until Friday, February 11-13, 2026 as regards the dangers from possible flooding.
According to a statement issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection the Red Code state of Alert has been issued following the Emergency Weather Deterioration Bulletin issued by the National Meteorological Service (EMY).
The Regional Units of Achaia and Ilia in the Region of Western Greece on “ Red Code” alert as of Wednesday, 11 February 2026, until Friday 13 February 2026.
The Civil Protection has instructed local authority civil defense mechanisms to prepare for possible flooding.
