Rainfalls, temperature drop, northerly winds and snow in the mountains are the main features of two bad weather fronts forecast to hit Greece in the following days.
The first weather front strikes Greece from the South-West as of today, Tuesday and weakens on Wednesday, March 17-18, 2026.

According to meteorologist Thodoris Kolydas, the phenomena will be mainly local, rainfalls will be limited and will not affect the entire territory.
The second front, the more significant one that is being formed in the northern Ionian Sea, will affect the country on Thursday and Friday, March 19-20.
The bad weather will intensify as the rains will become generalized, affecting most of the country, with emphasis on the Aegean Sea regions and Crete.
There is a small, but real, possibility that snow will fall temporarily in the semi-mountainous areas of Central and Northern Greece from Thursday to Friday, while in the mountains, snowfall is considered almost certain and may be significant in places.
Northerly winds will be blowing with intensity of 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.
The weather is forecast to remain unstable toward the end of the month.
