A pubic bus caught fire during its scheduled route on Monday morning. The driver intervened with a hand fire extinguisher, told passengers to evacuate and called the Fire Service, media reported.
Nobody was injured.
It was a bus of the B12 and the fire broke out in the engine located at the back of the bus that was operating with gas.
Five firefighters with two engines rushed and extinguished the fire on the bus which was in Ilion suburb of western Athens.

It’s not the first and probably not the last public bus that catches fire.
The Fire Service investigate the incident.
