Merkel: “My Heart Bleeds – Rich Greeks Should Pay Too”

I can’t help but to have pity with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She suffers from a permanent bleeding heart. Three weeks after she said that [German government’s] hearts bleeds over the sacrifices of Greek employees and low pensioners, she publicly reiterated her plight. However this time she added that “rich Greeks should also pay their contribution”, openly saying what every Greek cat knows: that the austerity price is being paid by the ‘average suspects’ who cannot evade taxes: the employees and the low pensioners.

Merkel: Rich Greeks Should also Pay

German Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) has complained that in Greece, especially those with low incomes suffer from the crisis. Merkel said on Monday: “My heart bleeds.” Therefore, the Greeks, who had left the their country, should consider what contribution they could make. “We want Greece to be successful,” said Merkel. Now, the aim is to implement the agreements. There had already be massive saving, but not all reforms meant an additional burden. (DPA via Forexpros)

I assume, “bleeding heart” is always a good PR tool. Not?

Dedicated to all bleeding hearts around the world
