Set on fire & shot in the face: Greek fishermen make macabre fund

A heinous crime at the sea shore: fishermen found the half-burned corpse of a man. The victim was furthermore shot in the face thus making him unrecognizable. The macabre fund was in one of rocky bays of Vouliagmeni in south-east Attica, in the area called “Limanakia”, at a distance of just 200 meters away from the national road Athens-Sounion.

According to Greek media, the half-naked body of a man estimated 30-35 years old was found by a fisherman at 5:30 Wednesday morning.

The perpetrator or perpetrators seem to have set on fire the victim that tried to jump into the sea in order to extinguish the fire. However, the victim was shot in the head and the face.

The fire marks end just a few meter before the sea.

By Wednesday afternoon, not many details have been known apart from the fact that the victim was wearing his underwear and that his identification was impossible, “due to the many shots the victim received on the face,” so ProtoThema. However, here the scenario speaks of the possibility that the victim was first shot and then set on fire.

A real thriller that allows the clue that the victim was taken there in order to be executed…

PS there has been a lot of violence and blood recently. Not only in Greece.
