Greece’s National Meteorological Service warns of temporary weather deterioration with strong rainfalls and powerful thunderstorms but also snowfalls above 300 meters in the North as well as South winds.
According to the EMY warning forecast, the bad weather will affect the following regions of Greece:

North Ionian Sea and Epirus, Central Macedonia, East Thessaloniki, Central Sterea, Magnisia Prefecture (Volos & Pilion) and the Sporades islands
By night, the bad weather front will have affected: West Sterea, West and East Macedonia, Thrace, islands of the North Aegean Sea, later also the islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea and possibly also the Dodecanese.
Snow is expected on the mountainous areas of the North and the West, mainly in Epirus and West Macedonia in altitude above 600 meters.
Winds blowing with intensity 7 to 8 Beaufort are expected in South-East Aegean Sea incl. Ikaria, Rhodes and Kasterolizo and South-West Crete.
9-10 Beaufort in the Ionian Sea, East Thessaloniki Sporades as of the night to Monday.

Areas affected by rain- and thunderstorms are Thrace in the morning, North and East Aegean Sea and the Cyclades as of early afternoon, by night also the Dodecanese.
Snowfalls on the mountainous areas in Thessaly – above 500 m -, Central Sterea, and North Greece – above 300-400m-.
The bad weather with stormy winds and temperatures close or below the freezing point is expected to last until the end of the week.
