An incident with one injured took place at the Iranian embassy in Psychiko suburb of North Athens at Wednesday noon. According to preliminary information by state broadcaster ERT TV, an unknown perpetrator injured one embassy employee with a knife.
Two embassy employees reportedly went out to check a suspiciously behaving man. When they came close, he pulled out a knife and injured one of them.
According to latest information, the man argued with the embassy staff that wanted to conduct a body control. At this point, the man pulled out the knife.
The injured has been transferred to a hospital. He is reportedly slightly injured.
The perpetrator fled and is still – at 4:13 pm local time – at large.
Police has launched a man hunt to catch the attacker.
