Tsipras says “Not in position yet to talk about agreement” on Macedonia name

“We have not yet in position to talk about an agreement,” Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in a press conference after a meeting with his FYROM counter part, Zoran Zaef, on the Macedonia name issue,  in Sofia on Thursday.

“I think we have traveled a lot of the distance, but there is still a distance to go,” he said.

He added “it is a difficult process to look at all the details in detail, but we are not yet in a position to talk about an agreement.”

“We had the opportunity to make substantive discussions. We have covered much of the distance but there is still much to be done. We look at all the details step by step,” Tsipras said adding “the last meters of the route are the most difficult.”

Zoran Zaef said after the meeting “solution with dignity” is possible.
