You just do not want want to be around when a motor boat is making the rounds without someone on the wheel.
A chartered motor boat crashed on the rocks of Megali Ammos beach in Ammouliani, Halkidiki, after the ‘captain’ and the passenger abandoned it.
The motor boat was chartered by a 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman from Bulgaria with the latter being reportedly also the ‘captain’.
At some point and for unknown reasons, the man fell into the sea, the woman followed and boat kept rotating out of control.
A member of the Coast Guard ‘hijacked a private vessel and sailed to rescue the man who had suffered an injury on the leg.
A doctor at the beach provided first aid to the man who was later transferred to the general hospital of Polygyros.
An alcohol test showed that the woman, i.e the boat operator, had consumed drinks, and showed 0.41 m/l.
Port authorities launched investigation and imposed administrative fines, a statement by the Coast Guard said.
The incident occurred last Sunday, on August 19th.
While the boat was rotating out of control sunbathers and swimmers did not miss the chance and started to film the rare opportunity.
