The big military parade starts at 11 am and is expected to be concluded at 1 pm. The centre of Athens is closed to traffic for public transport and private vehicles. The area affected is practically from the upper Syggroy Avenue down to Omonia Square. The parade is taking place at Amalias Avenue (Suntagma Sq) in front of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier/Greek Parliament. If you want to watch the show, the is only one way to go downtown: use the Metro! The traffic is to be resumed at 1:30-2:00 pm.
