Greece: You know there is an economic crisis, when…

When your otherwise silent neighbors start quarreling….
When voices full of anger start coming through walls and stairways and a personal drama is taking place behind closed doors and windows…

When a man yells “Think, I’m not looking for job?” and a woman shouts “Shhh, they can hear us!”

When the sounds of a frustrated society ppenetrate the houseyards, flood the  streets and forcefully slender all the way up to your balcony like black ivy shoot.

When you see the young neighbor or the newly wed couple hastily loading their household on a truck and leave for unknown destination.

When you see the rollers down in the wide closed apartments.

When you see the local shops you empty the one after the other and remain empty.

A smothered, suppressed anger finally finds its way out, becomes a roar…

No wonder the 25th March Independence Day Parades turned into a Boo Day for politicians from outer space.
