Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has decided a series of changes to the cabinet, after he moved Deputy Transport Minister Constantinos Kyranakis into the post of New Democracy secretary general.
The cabinet changes include:
Giorgos Kotsiras as Alternate Transport Minister, Dimitris Markopoulos as Deputy National Economy and Finance Minister responsible for Taxation Policy and Marilena Soukouli as the new Deputy Environment and Energy Minister.
In addition, Tasos Chatzvasileiou will take over as Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for European Affairs.
According to the announcement, the new alternate minister and new deputy ministers will be sworn in before President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas, in a ceremony on Friday, June 12.
Meanwhile, also on Monday, the Secretary General of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment, Efthymios Bakoyiannis, has submitted his resignation citing “personal reasons”and his wish to return to his academic duties.
PS Now everybody seems convinced that the parliamentary elections will take place in upcoming October, six months before Mitsotakis’ plan in spring 2027.
